Customer Feedback

"Thanks for the new prop mod! That makes three in my 120 now and the fish love to play in the flow! You know that I absolutely love these things as I traded in my large "Made In Germany" power heads for them... alot smaller, less cumbersome and less wattage."

-Dawn M.

"Truly Amazing...Small but yet so much movement & power....I feel for all those who purchased the same quality items for two or three times the price!  Small enough for one MJ900 in a nano but yet powerful enough to put a few in a 210.
I just put four of the Sea-Flo kits into my 120 mixed reef...Wow! I can’t believe how much water these move at a fraction of the cost of some of the other alternatives on the market. Absolutely the least obtrusive & by far the most tastefully put together flow option out there. Nice job Sea Flo!"

"I just had to write and tell you what you probably already know: These Sea-Flo mods are awesome! I've had two running on my 75 for nearly a year now, and the corals are loving the flow. (Almost too much, flow!!) I've tried building those other maxi-jet DIY mods, but I just couldn't get them to work on a long-term basis, and quite frankly, they were just too big. The Sea-Flos look great and provide great flow. What more could anyone want. Thanks for the great product."

"The Sea-Flo mod has done wonders for my tank. My corals have never looked better and the water movement is outstanding!"

"We are using two of your pumps on a coral tank. After almost a year of service, they're beginning to look battle-tested with their growths of calcareous algae. They have performed flawlessly - and normally slow-growing corals such as Porites lobata, P. lutea and Pocillopora meandrina (a difficult coral) are all showing excellent polyp expansion and growing up to 1/4" per month.

The currents generated by your devices make the coral polyps 'dance' just as they do on a real reef. Your units have endured thousands of on/off cycles and have never failed. We trust our 'best' coral research aquarium to them.

With the cost of electricity approaching 35 cent per kilowatt-hour here in Hawaii, we are always concerned about power consumption. We are very pleased with your product (a modified MaxiJet 900), which pushes almost 1,000 gallons per hour and uses only 5 watts of electricity."

"I can't tell you how much I love my Maxi-Jet/Sea-Flo mod. I have a 900 in my 55, and it alone would be more than enough, you can actually see the current coming back from the other end. I use it on a wavemaster because I have an extensive acro collection. The customer service from you is also unsurpassed."

"I finally modified a Maxijet 1200 using one of Pat's Sea-Flo kits. Pretty easy to set up - and I'm no DIY guy (just ask around). The flow produced is fantastic.
I have just one modified 1200 cranking in the 125, and it's scary how much water movement I'm seeing. The overflow on the opposite end is getting a little wave or surge that pushes more water out. Nice work, Pat. These things crank!"

"I first heard about these mods when they were in preproduction years ago.  I have been using them for the last 2 years continuously on a variety of systems.  I currently own 6 of them: I use one for my 60 gallon salt water mix barrel, it runs 24x7x365 days.  I also use 4 of these in my 180 gallon fish tank, my tangs love swimming against their current.  I have not to date found a better built, or more realiable product.  It's been good knowing that Pat stands behind his product as well.  I look forward to buying more Sea-Flo mods as my systems grow."

"Just received my Sea-Flo for a Maxi-Jet 1200 and set it up last night.  I love your product!  I will be ordering more.  Thank you for the fast shipping and your website was easy to order from.

I have your Maxijet 1200 Sea-Flo hooked on SureGrip Magnets running on a Tsunami wavemaker within a 33 gallon cube and my Xenia loves your flow! Within 24 hours my xenia looks fuller and healthier then the last two years with a just the Maxijet and Tsunami wavemaker.  The flow is just perfect! Your attachments aligned perfect with the SureGrip magnets and the quality

of the build is top notch.  The tumbling effect of your Sea-Flo is amazing. Thank you Sea-Flo!"

"Sea-flo, great first impression...
Has anyone tried Pat's newest creation? I picked up a 600 today, wow, I'm impressed, this is a very nice and refined mod kit.
For me it was a toss up between that and the other new competetor in the maxi mod world. Today I contacted Pat, and a great LFS supplier of the competition (thks you know who you are). Both got back to me within an hour of my asking by PM/e-mail, but Pat was a little more convient to get to, so I went with his kit (and I really wanted the 600 kit over the 1200 kit, IIRC Pat's the only one who has kits for the different sizes.)

FWIW I have no exp with the "other mod kit" (which also sounds very nice), but Pat's kit is, IMO, fantastic. I got the mj 600 kit, and even that is producing tremendous flow and I'm very happy with it. Assembly is super easy, I did it while driving on I-93, and it's %100 plug and play. I also really like Pat's mounting bracket. It's not complicated, but I can angle it anyway I want it and it takes up almost zero space. The flow on the mj600 kit is easily 1/2 to 2/3 of the flow of a tunze 6060. I can't imagine the flow on the 1200 kit?

Check this out if you don't already know about it, Great product by a local reefer."
